About Lu Ban
The Lu Ban Workshop, a concept orignially devised by the Chinese Education commission, is in place to develop vocational skills around the world and focussing on strong partnerships, community and innovation. Lu Ban is revered as the god of carpentry and masonry in Chinese folk religion and you can read more about Lu Ban and his legend at Wikipedia.
We have the honoured privilege to offer food and culture education from the Lu Ban Restaurant Liverpool and we create innovative tailor-made training for pupils, students and professionals alike.

Food safety
Lu Ban restaurant has a detailed food safety management system using Check-it (a web-based management system)
Allergens and intolerances
All dishes have been checked against current legislation, for tastings we can provide allergens for each product on request.
Any staff, pupils or students must make the senior person on duty at Lu Ban about any tolerances or allergens
Slips trips and falls
The following hazards should be noted: steps are situated at the entrance of the Lu Ban restaurant; the restaurant is situated on the far side of a cobbled area used by the public. The kitchen on occasions can be slippery due to air moisture. Training may be taking place when the restaurant is closed to the public, floors may be slippery due to cleaning and housekeeping
Water
Lu Ban Liverpool is not located near any open streams or rivers
Security
All possessions brought into Lu Ban are done at the owner’s risk, we have no lockers or storage facilities
Vehicle traffic
Vehicles have access to the Brewery Village, once in the courtyard no vehicles are presents. Supervision is recommended at all times.
High level activity
Lu Ban facilities and activities are all at ground level (see wheelchair access)
Wheelchair access
Lu Ban restaurant does not have an accessible lift or accessible access due to its listing (further detail is available up on request). Wheelchairs users do enter the restaurant with assistance, Lu Ban has a DDA compliant bathroom.
First aid
We cannot guarantee a qualified first aider will be in the restaurant at the time of your event, suitable arrangements should be made you, the event organiser.
Unruly people
If any session is disrupted by an individual or individuals, we have the right to ask those being disruptive to leave the premises or terminate the event in its entirety.
Welfare facilities
Guest bathrooms are available in the bar area including a DDA compliant bathroom
Additional costs
There will be no additional cost associated with your planned event, however additional food items or drinks on the day (not part of the planned event) will be charged for at the printed price. Any breakages or damage will be charged for.
